Memorial Day Weekend Love

This past week was a rough one; first Cam was sick & then I got sick just in time for the weekend AND Chris has been working 15-17 hour days.

BUT life goes on because it was seriously the nicest weekend EVER.

Friday & Saturday mainly consisted of Cam & I running in and out of every Home Goods & Target within a 20 mile radius of us.  More on that later.

 Sunday we went to visit my Dad & Bev

This is what getting ready looks like for me as of late :)

I got this dress at a garage sale for like $2 & I'm obsessed with it. Babies in halter dresses might be my new favorite.

We'd been waiting for a gorgeous day like Sunday our whole lives- literally ;)

Sunday night Camdyn hit the biggest milestone yet.

I was not feeling good one bit so I said, "Cam, you are going in your crib tonight"

& in her crib she went. After about an hour of me going in there every 10 minutes to let her know everything is going to be alright, she fell asleep. & she slept for 12 HOURS. I was in shock. HAPPY shock. I will forever cherish the first 6 months of Cam sleeping in the bed with me, it was easy and it was sweet, but I'm ready to have my sleep back :)

Anyway, Memorial Day we spent at my Mom's just hanging outside

 

I was SO excited when I found her this little Old Navy bikini for all of the patriotic holidays this summer

 & this was her at about 6:30. DONE.

This week we're just going to be getting ready for Chris' mom to come and visit from Oklahoma. It will be mine & Camdyn's first time meeting her & we cannot wait :)

Week Love 5/12

Since I didn't document life very well this weekend with my camera, I'm going to share our love through last week..

Monday I took my favorite picture that I have ever taken:

 She's so proud of her hard working Daddy :)

Tuesday My mom, Cam & I went down to the town that we used to live in to check out a possible new place for us

 

BUT, we came to the conclusion that where we live is an awesome location, awesome price for size & we're too lazy to pack up all of our stuff & move just to rent a place for a year or two

P.S. I realized halfway through the day that I was wearing my David Yurman on THAT finger .. oops

 Wednesday Camdyn rocked the cutest little denim jumper

 

AND Chris picked it out which makes it even cuter

Walks on Daddy's shoulders are wayyyy better than in the stroller.

 

 Saturday I got the best belated Mother's Day gift in the mail from Chris

 

it says "Motherly Love" on one side & Camdyn Grace is engraved on the other.

 Sunday Chris worked 12 hours so Cam & I went to my parents for a BBQ

 

 & she wore the cutest little ballerina baseball tee all the way from Italy

6 Months

This chick is half a friggen year; CRAZY. 

 This month brought a developmental spurt for sure:

 Bow : Lucy's Headbands

She's sitting up on her own .. for like 15 seconds max & then topples over, but hey, she's so close!

 

 

She's thisclose to actually crawling; she'll get up on all fours and just rock back & forth. She's definitely got the whole "army crawling" thing down though, we had to start baby proofing the house this week!

 She celebrated her first Easter

 She got an entire play area right in the middle of our living room;

coffee table out, Cam's play mat in :)

She can literally roll around this little area for hours & be so happy

 

& figured out who her best friend for life is going to be.

 

Weight: 14 lbs

 

Height: 25 inches; still tiny & still growing right on point :)

 

Diet: Still nursing about 5-6 times a day & slowly cutting out her nighttime feedings, YAY! We've also attempted quite a few solids (apples, avocados, bananas, peas, rice cereal) but she doesn't seem to be a huge fan of any of them, YET.  Our doctor said to just keep trying a little everyday & eventually she'll get the hang of them.

Sleep: 9:30 AM: 40 min - 2 hour nap in crib

1 PM: 40 min - 2 hour nap in crib

5 PM: 30 min - 1 hour nap in crib

9 PM: bedtime & she'll usually wake up 2-3 times in the night fussing but then fall back asleep within 20 minutes

Milestones: Can sit up on her own for like 15 seconds

Almost real crawling

Army crawling EVERYWHERE

Tried apples, avocados, rice cereal & peas

Hated apples, avocados, rice cereal & peas

Says "ba ba ba" or "da da da" on repeat when she's really into playing with one of her toys

In her 6 months of life she's watched; Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Bates Motel, American Horror Story & Breaking Bad.. Chris & I just realized this list of shows we've binge watched since having Cam & got a little nervous HA. But seriously when you're a new parent, in the dead of winter, Netflix becomes your new best friend, if it already wasn't ;)

 

Favs: Rolling around on the ground with all of her toys

The remote control, our cell phones & basically anything else that she always sees me or Chris holding

Sitting at the dinner table with us, preferably on Chris' lap

Laying in our bed

Not So Favs: Getting her diaper changed

Weekend Love 5/3

So this happened. & I think we're a little more excited about it than she is ;)

Then this happened & I could not stop laughing.

Saturday was a HUGE deal because it was Cam's first swim class.

What made it even better was that Chris actually had off from work so he got to swim with her. The cutest.

She was the youngest babe there by a long shot but hey, we're getting her into that water early :)

Sunday morning Chris cooked us, my mom & the twins a huge breakfast, my mom & I did some garage sale shopping

& then we just did this all afternoon :)

this girl turning 6 months old today. HOW?? I never believed the mamas before when they said time seriously FLIES when you have a babe but YES it does.
